This roadmap shows what we’re working on and planning to do next. It’s not fixed – our plans might change as we learn more, respond to feedback, or adjust priorities.
The roadmap is for transparency, to help with decision making, and encourage collaboration and reuse. Understand what improvements are coming so that your team can plan work with confidence.
Releases since July 2026
Since the introduction of a sitemap, the Design System documentation site is now fully accessible.
We’ve made content clearer on building block statuses. This is to help users understand how they should be used.
New official components
We released the ‘add another’ component.
What we’re working on now
We’re:
- developing the search component to ‘official’ status
- exploring how Probational Delivery Service (PDS) users identify people on probation
Coming up next
We’ll be looking at:
- a more consistent way for users of PDS services to get support and escalate problems
- the header component
- the side navigation component
- the scrollable pane component
The future
We plan to use AI more to improve the Design System.
